My background is a unique combination of education, library, research and management roles. I have a strong background in designing and developing scholarly literacy and research programs in higher education, knowledge of the research policy, processes and issues facing researchers in the current higher education research environment. I have considerable experience in repository management including providing strategic advice around; research data management, research metrics and reporting, open access and licensing, national research policy & submission guidelines. I love teaching and really enjoy connecting with people. I actively seek out opportunities to improve the quality of my teaching as I believe teaching is dynamic and needs to respond to changes in social outlook and technology. I work to mentor and build staff capabilities, to deliver on strategic goals and manage staff performance through regular conversations.
