Heavy Duty Glued Insulated Rail Joints were designed to enhance the lifespan of the standard joint which has been in railway circulation for many years. This study examined the performance differences of the two joints over a number of topics including Brinell Hardness, ATIS, Stress, Ultrasonic defects and joint deflection.<p></p>
