Closing the gap between public and expert understanding of nuclear science

Ten residents who lived near the Lucas Heights reactor in New South Wales were surveyed to ascertain their perceptions, knowledge and understanding of ANSTO (Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation), its activities and basic nuclear science.
