The growth potential of ten species of Agave, and six cultivars of Agave tequilana and Furcraea foetida, was evaluated over 5 years at Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia. The purpose of this trial was to assess the use of these genotypes as biofuel feedstock owing to their inherent ability to grow on dry lands.
