This is the report prepared for Scion (New Zealand Forest Research Institute Ltd.) at the end of a project done in collaboration with them in 2023. This project used non-market valuation (discrete choice experiments embedded in a survey) to explore New Zealand residents' preferences for biosecurity protection policies aiming at improving the supply of ecosystem services in New Zealand native forests by fighting problematic introduced species. Our results suggest clear support for such policies from survey respondents.
