The first thirteen hundred days of the 'new conservatorium'

In 1999 CQCM found itself in difficult times with an accumulated $lm deficit ($650,000 in Mackay and $350,000 in Rockhampton); an inability to fill quota in either location; and a low credibility profile as perceived from external like organizations. The task was best described to me by a senior appointment panel member who commented - 'have we got a job for you!' I handle this discussion under the four 'well being' headings and eight sub headings of my charter of appointment.
