"This report sets out the results of an hydraulic model study of various existing and proposed structures on the floodplain of the Fitzroy River near Rockhampton. The study was concerned with the proposed new Bruce Highway immediately South of the City, the Capricorn Highway from Rockhampton to Gracemere, and the North Coast and Central Western railway lines where they cross the floodplain. Various embankments and bridge structures were installed on the model and tested to determine their effect on flood levels."--p. 1.
