PEP report : timber symposium & visits in Southern Africa April/May 1985

"This report describes a four-week Professional Experience Program carried out by the writer in the Republic of South Africa and in Zimbabwe during the period 18 April - 21 May 1985. The writer attnded and presented a paper to the week long Forest Research International Symposium held in Pretoria. Three weeks were spent in travels and visits to 6 universities and 14 industries and sites. Objectives of gaining technology updates in timber and materials engineering were achieved."--p. (ii).
