Natural resource management and the protection of Aboriginal cultural heritage

Sustainable development implies the integration of economic, environmental and social considerations. This study appies Choice Modelling, a valuation technique, to assess the tradeoffs between water resource development and associated impacts on the environment, and on the protection of Aboriginal cultural heritage sites in central Queensland. The values and opinions of both the Indigenous (Rockhampton) and general community (Rockhampton and Brisbane) were considered.
