Gamblers at risk and their help-seeking behaviour

This study examines, identifies, and analyzes gambler formal and informal help seeking behaviour. The project involved investigating the behaviour of those who seek formal and informal help, identifying the barriers and motivators for help-seeking behaviour, examining the role of external factors (e.g. social support) and internal factors (e.g. motivation) in help-seeking behaviour, developing guidelines to enhance help-seeking behaviour by those at risk, and developing guidelines to assist jurisdictions in developing policy for help-seeking behaviour enhancement.
