The research conducted within this project is important for the health of the Australian population and to the producers of food ingredients, in particular sweeteners, but possibly also in the future for the nutraceutical industry. It provides information on the response of the Stevia rebaudiana L. plant to the growing environment, in terms of yield and steviol glycoside (the sweetener component).
