Beginning teachers' practices in primary science in rural areas

"...The ultimate measure of success of a preservice teacher education program is the performance of the graduates when they commence teaching. This project was therefore designed to collect data about the practices of recent Central Queensland University [CQU] graduates, which provided indications of the quality of the science teacher preparation they received. It was further designed to gather data about the difficulties experienced by graduates in teaching science, with a view to providing feedback for preservice and inservice course construction at CQU and elsewhere.
