presentation
posted on 2024-09-24, 02:03 authored by Matthew NicholMatthew Nichol, Elisa Solomon
Japan has one of the highest ageing populations in the world and a large number of workers continue employment into their 60s and 70s. This paper examines how the employment of workers aged over 60 years is regulated by actors such as government, employers and industry through various forms of regulation, including legislation, informal rules and normative behaviour. The operation of this system of regulation is shaped by a firm's finances, culture, economics and society.
