The CD/DVD combines archival research, original music compositions, soundscapes (industrial and environmental), film and oral histories to illuminate the socio-cultural and economic history of a major regional Queensland industry. The original compositions are based on the soundscapes; for example, the rhythms of trains provide the metronomic pulse for compositions and the sounds of birds and cicadas provide the ambience for other compositions.
