"Three pairs of scenarios depict students and teachers giving and receiving feedback in dental education - in the prosthetic laboratory, the simulation laboratory and the dental surgery. In each setting, the first scenario contains issues such as lack of concern for the patient and standardisation between assessors whereas the second scenario portrays ideal formative assessment and feedback strategies. Particular messages such as self and peer assessment, stress, over-confidence, task orientation, the timing of feedback, lower grade than expected, intimidating supervisor and student remorse are also featured"--Container cover.
