Many thanks to all who answered my call to provide submissions to the recent ERA (Excellence in Research for Australia) review process in support of a higher ranking for AJA. AJA is somewhat of a special journal, in regard to partnership profile. While we are proud to be a journal with exacting academic standards, we also need to not lose sight of our commitment to all our partner organisations (Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine, Aged CareServices Australia, Australian Council on the Ageing, and Australian Association of Gerontology), which cover the gamut of research, practice and policy, including strong representation by clinicians, consumers and the aged care industry. As AJA is tasked with providing value and interest to all our partners, the journal has always had a strong focus on practice and policy, innovation in aged care, and translational research.
