Ukulele affections and Hawaiian family connections : the music and memories of musician/producer Rick Cunha

journal contribution
posted on 2017-12-06, 00:00 authored by Karl Neuenfeldt
Musician and producer Rick Cunha has a life long connection to Hawaiian music and the ukulele. He also has a strong family connection because his paternal grandfather, Sonny Cunha, was one of the key songwriters of 'hapa-hoale' songs in the early 1900s. Rick recounts his memories of growing up in a family with strong musical connections to Hawaii and also how he currently uses ukulele in the studio as a producer of records and film music.
