Their farm is going downhill fast as their eldest child has been in hospital now for six months. The whole family is in Perth as the child is dying. A couple of weeks ago the father went back to the farm but that was just
so difficult. . . . The cost of living in the city and the cost of hospital parking along with their absence from their family business has been disastrous for this family.
A nurse was recruited to this rural mining town. When she got there she found she could earn $150 000 a year driving a truck, so she resigned from the hospital and went and worked in the mine.
