Technology column: Finding informational texts for classroom use on the web

For years national teacher associations have promoted the use of informational texts in our K-12 classrooms.As we worked with pre-service teachers in our courses and in-service teachers at conferences, we found that information about where to find quality informational texts is needed. There are many useful online sites available to teachers. However, as the CCSS states, the amount of sites can be “staggering.” Therefore, we have put together a list of quality sites that teachers can go to and have reviewed them in this column.
