In Nepal 90 percent of population suffer by water home diseases with diarrhoea as major health problem. Human and social factors are very predominant for diarrhoea and death due to diarrhoea. Taking community as a whole, there are many ideas, beliefs, prejudices, and practices those are helpful or obstructive for the health programme for prevention and control of diarrhoea at all levels of health care in Nepal.
