This paper explores final year pre-service (student teachers) perceptions of the key elements they identify as critical to a successful continuous in-school placement. It also explores how these student teachers prepare for the continuous in-school placement, and the initial steps they undertake at the commencement of the placement to ensure success that might lead to employment.
