The aim was to compare the diagnostic effectiveness of universal ultrasound as a screening test compared with selective ultrasound (based on a clinical indication) and to identify any link between ultrasound markers associated with fetal growth restriction and the risk of morbidity associated with small for gestational age fetuses.
