Rheumatic heart disease (RHD) an overall rarecondition has disproportionate prevalence among Aboriginal andTorre s Strait Islander, Maori and Pa cific peoples and refugees.RHD in pregnancy is associated with adverse perinatal outcomes.There has been no national study of RHD in pregnancy in Australiaand New Zealand (ANZ).
