Despite News Corporation's recent axing of one third of its online staff, online journalism remains an important and evolving form of media in Australia. Journalism educators should continue to prepare their graduates for work in an online environment.

This case study focuses on Age Online staff, examining the skills and attributes staff members need not only to survive but also to succeed in the online environment. This case study aims to assist journalism educators in identifying the skills and attributes required of online journalists, and help them adjust their courses accordingly.
