OD Expert: Expert systems help choose OD interventions

This article will "blue sky" an idea for developing a computer software product intended to assist in the systematic selection of appropriate Organization Development (OD) interventions. Essentially, OD EXPERT is a design which would use either an Expert System of Artificial Intelligence (Artificial Neural Networks) to assist public and private sector OD practitioners and managers to select OD interventions. A knowledge base would be developed from the latest research findings and considerable experience of OD practitioners. How this software could be developed is detailed, including examples of how the screen menus would appear to the user. Marketing considerations, including potential clients, are identified and analysed.
