The Australasian Journal on Ageing (AJA) recently had some very good news! The second impact factor for AJA was released in June 2010, and I am delighted to say the journal’s impact factor has jumped to 0.671, more than doubling AJA’s first impact factor in 2009 of 0.319. AJA has also jumped in ISI journal rankings to 21/25 in the Social Sciences Gerontology category and to 37/40 in the Science Geriatricsand Gerontology category. At AJA, we feel this is a great achievement and a sign of continuing improvement in the quality of submissions to the journal.
