The case of Thiess Pty Ltd v President of the Industrial Court of Queensland [2011] QSC 294 concerned an application for judicial review. The application required a consideration of the jurisdiction of the industrial magistrate to allow amendment of a complaint, the jurisdiction of the President of the Industrial Court on appeal against the decision of the industrial magistrate and the role of the Supreme Court exercising its supervisory jurisdiction.
