This paper studies the problem of designing H∞ controllers for networked control systems (NCSs) with both network-induced time delay and packet disordering. A delay switching-based method is proposed to model the NCSs with long time delay as switched systems, then by an algorithm involving convex optimisation, H∞ controllers are designed by using the proposed delay switching-based method and the existing parameter uncertainty-based method. Then, prediction-based method is presented to compensate time delay and packet disordering, and H∞ controller design is proposed by using linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based method. The simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed delay switching-based method and the prediction-based H∞ controller design.
