Dr Kerry Reid-Searl MRCNA is the real face behind the latex mask that transforms her into the now famous characters Cyril Smith and Dudley Dawes. Kerry's characters play a pivotal role in her work as a senior lecturer at CQUniversity Australia, and her use of role play as a teaching tool to increase the realism of nursing scenarios in the classroom continues to draw national interest and recognition. Kerry has pioneered this form of simulation in nursing education and has called it High Fidelity Patient/Person Latex Simulation (HFPLS).
