Review of "Copyright and popular media: liberal villains and technological change by Trajce Cvetkovski: Palbrave Macmillan, 2013, ISBN 9780230368477, 299 pp." What I like about his book is that it has made me think; made me think about copyright laws (where they have come from and why we still have them) on the one hand and the liberal ideals (eg freedom to deal with my property as I see fit) on the other that I hold dear. The analysis presented by Cvetkovski made me think about the (now obvious) polemic between protecting someone’s intellectual exertion and my right to download/read/source and … share(!) digital material as I choose to.
