An annotated checklist of the Australian acanthocephala from mammalian and bird hosts

A compilation of all the records of acanthocephalans parasitising Austral ian mammals and birds is presented, firstly as a parasite-host list and then as a host-parasite list. Current and original parasite and host names are given. References for and localities of each record are provided. Hosts from Australian sub-Antarctic and Antarctic waters are included but Papua New Guinea records are excluded.
