In mid October, the Australasian Journal on Ageing (AJA) heldour triennial strategic planning meeting in Melbourne, at Wiley Blackwell offices. The meeting invited the AJA Management Committee, editors, members of the Editorial Board and representatives from our partner organisations (Australian Council on the Ageing, Aged Care Services Australia, Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine, Australian Association of Gerontology) to consider the past 3 years of AJA, how we have met our previous aspirations and where AJA would like to be in another 3 years. The results of this meeting will be synthesised for our readers in our planned 30-Year Anniversary Special Issue in 2013.
