Work in progress : understanding migration patterns of engineering undergraduates : the impact of course grades on student major choice

Building on the work of others, we propose a differentapproach to studying the influence of letter grades on engineeringstudents’ major choice and migration patterns. As this workprogresses, we will improve understanding of the effects of courseperformance, grading distributions, and early major intentionson the likelihood that students will persist in a given field.
