Web-based learning : issues and developments

Due to the rapid growth of the use of computers and increasing use of the Internet in education a large number of Web-based educational applications have been developed and implemented in higher education. The Web-based intelligent learning is more effective in the past decade due to increasing use of the Internet in education. This keynote speech outlines and discusses important issues of the development of Web-based learning systems in higher education and also focuses on the comprehensive review of design and developments of the Web-based authoring tools for an Intelligent Tutoring System in higher education.
