This paper is a contribution to the debate on research methods in which Glaser (1965), Strauss and Corbin (1990 and 2008) and Charmaz (2003 and 2006) approaches and systems thinking approaches are used to engage rural communities with the purpose of studying food security and aid intervention narratives and outcomes.
