The need for information literacy in nursing education

This paper describes the importance of including information literacy into the nursing curriculum to enhance future professional practice. It calls on nurse educators and librarians to cooperate in preparing nursing students for life long learning facilitated by the acquisition of a set of information literacy competencies.
