The dynamic stability analysis of induction generators

conference contribution

lnduction generators can be used to supply power either in an isolated system or connected to the grid. The continuity of generation of power during disturbances depends on the availability of magnetic flux in the core, which is proportional to the exciting current, and the mechanical input power. The stability analysis of synchronous generators power systems has been well established. However the stabitity analysis of induction generators during disturbances is not well documented. This paper deals with the stability analysis of different induction generator schemes for grid-connected as well as isolated system applications during electrical and/or mechanical disturbances.
