Seagrass and aluminium are strange bedfellows: A science-art collaboration via the power of STEAM
conference contribution
posted on 2018-06-06, 00:00 authored by Helen HoldenHelen Holden, Linda PfeifferLinda Pfeiffer, Emma JacksonEmma JacksonThis paper describes the collaboration of a project team consisting of two educators, an artist and a scientist who are producing a community event in the form of an art-science installation. The public event has not yet happened, but the journey to arrive at an unveiling of public art is well documented. The reasoning for undertaking the journey is a belief in the arts being a conduit to communicate science knowledge, thus shaping the way a community views their environment.
