A 'deep' approach to learning may be optimised during undergraduate nursing student practicum experiences using 'reflection' as a teaching and learning strategy. This paper will explore the literature to clafiry the concept of 'reflection' and to identify a structure and tools that can be used to facilitate reflective teaching and learning in this context.
