conference contribution
posted on 2017-12-06, 00:00 authored by Kevin TharpKevin Tharp, John DekkersThe role of Information and Communications Technologies in a community setting has to this point focused primarily on the areas of access, training, and local content. This paper examines the use of online self-publishing in a community environment, and how online community networks can be a catalyst for increasing the levels of social interaction both online and in the associated geographic communities.
