Quality improvement: Meaningful evaluation data analysis to improve course design and teaching

conference contribution
posted on 2017-12-13, 00:00 authored by Wendy Fasso, Bruce KnightBruce Knight
It is the position of this paper that to be effective, course design and facilitation must be planned in advance, and that whilst course evaluations are useful, they are insufficient for the purpose of course enhancement. A brief review of the literature and a data set will be used to make a case that examines the influence of affect and its potential over time to change perceptions of experiences. The paper concludes with the need for capturing students’ recall of episodic information to better inform course design.
