Proceedings of the 20th ANZAM Conference. Management: Pragmatism, philosophy, priorities. The theme for the conference, Management: Pragmatism, Philosophy, Priorities was chosen among many contenders. It was felt that the three P’s’ would best describe the variety of papers that would be submitted to the conference. In turn, this reflects the dynamic nature of the business environment. As organizations seek to maximise productivity, there appears to be a greater value on quick answers solutions at the expense of a theoretically driven longer term solution. Are such approaches truly pragmatic or should we say sustainable? A number of papers will explore in great detail some of the implications in the conference theme.
