The management of wastewater in an ecotourist site is of great importance because of its potential not only to damage the customer's perception, but also that it may damage the environment. Ecotrans (Qld) Ltd is developing an ecotourism resort in the Darlington range, near Coomera, in the Gold Coast Hinterland. GBG Project Management P/L and the Central Queensland University (CQU) have developed a holistic water management plan for the resort. The site has some access to reticulated town-water but no feasible access to town sewerage.
