The goal of the present paper is to put forward a study proposal and propose some pathways through
which transformational leadership behaviours and authentic follower behaviours would be related to
organisational commitment, organisational citizenship behaviours and follower performance in Kenya.
The paper briefly reviews extant literature and builds a logical framework depicting the
interrelationships among transformational leadership behaviours and authentic follower behaviours,
organisational commitment, organisational citizenship behaviours and follower performance. The
paper sets out nine testable research propositions and explains a planned research methodology.
Finally, the article concludes by outlining some vital considerations for researchers of transformational
leadership and authentic followership in Kenya.
