Governments and industry are advocating information literacy skills training in order to achieve a well-educated, productive population, but is this what lifelong learning is all about? Functional literacy skills amy be more relevant to the underprivileged members in society but how can we help them acquire these skills, and can we expect all people to adopt lifelong learning?
