The author's experiences with two undergraduate teaching units illustrates the time-consuming and expensive nature of developing technology-based learning resources. While extra funding enabled the resources to be delivered online and on CD-ROM, accelerated development timelines resulted in minimal pre-testing, and some delivery problems, all providing lessons for future developers.
