This paper outlines the cross-cultural challenges faced by international students in Australia; proposes a pivotal role for information-literacy education in addressing these challenges; and presents the Australian 'Information Literacy Standards (2001)' as an effective framework for integrated curriculum design to meet the needs of all students, including internationals.
