Engineering Statics is one of the crucial first-year units that prepare students for subsequent technical units in engineering. However, generations of students have struggled with the subject. The fundamental reason behind the high failure rate in the subject is because many of the students are not able to grasp the concepts and master the necessary skills required in this unit. The concepts and skills of this subject can be mastered only by doing repetitive work in a variety of situations. However, very few students enjoy working on similar problems multiple times which is necessary to improve the understanding of the subject concepts.
