This paper describes an evaluation of the level of generic skills development in the Curtin University of Technology, undergraduate curriculum undertaken by the author in 1998-99. This paper discusses some of the issues surrounding the development of generic skills or attributes in tertiary education, as well as methodological considerations faced in implementing this study.
