The Gumbel statistics of extreme events is used to determine the Gutenberg-Richter seismicity parameters for the Central Queensland region within the 3° geographical square centered on Bundaberg, based on the annual maximum magnitude events in available historic records from the 1870’s through to the present time.<p></p>
